Paul Scott is an English teacher in Asan who has a special schedule.
폴 스콧은 특별한 일정이 있는 아산의 영어 교사이다.
Every day, Paul goes out onto a road to save small-mouthed frogs called maengkkongi, an endangered species in Korea.
폴은 매일 한국의 멸종 위기종인 맹꽁이라는 입이 작은 개구리를 구하기 위해 도로로 나간다.
These frogs usually live under the ground and surface during the rainy season to lay eggs in puddles.
이 개구리들은 보통 땅속에 살고 장마철에는 물웅덩이에 알을 낳기 위해 표면으로 올라온다.
Before they reach the puddles, however, many maengkkongi die on the road.

So early in the morning and at night, Paul goes out to find and help maengkkongi in danger.

During a TV interview, Paul expressed concern that if nothing is done soon, the situation will repeat itself.

Fortunately, the government has made a plan to examine the issue.
